The Value of Creativity

The authors of Toy Box Leadership:Leadership Lessons From The Toys You Loved As A Child, state that, "Creativity is very much like a yo-yo. It remains dormant until it is released."

Think about this statement and then think about your own level of creativity. Do you ever allow yourself the freedom to just let go and experience your creativity the way that children do?

Now think about the young children that you work with. Do you plan daily experiences and opportunities that give children the freedom to explore and discover their world?

I would love for you to share some of your creative ideas and wonderful stories so that we may all learn from your experiences and those of the children you work with.

Many of us do not actually work in classrooms but we work with teachers and young children in some capacity. We all have ideas and stories to share. I look forward to hearing yours.

Creatively yours,

Doris
